Lap of Love Veterinarian: Daniel Genatiempo, DVM"Dr. Dan and Lap of Love made our difficult decision so much easier. Oscar was a dog with a lot of anxiety on his good days. Going to a veterinary office for the last moments of his life would have been traumatic and difficult for all of us. Because of Dr. Dan and Lap of Love, we were able to spend Oscar's last moments on our own couch, in our own home, with no anxiety for Oscar at all. Dr. Dan could not have been more compassionate and genuine. I highly recommend Lap of Love and specifically Dr. Dan. Thank you so much for providing this important service."Susie KnollWestfield, IndianaJanuary 21, 2017

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Daniel Genatiempo, DVM"I want to thank Dr. Dan for helping our sweet Bonnie cross the bridge. It takes a special person to constantly be around tears and sadness of humans who are letting their pets go, but he did so with professionalism and compassion. It was much better to have this all take place in the privacy and comfort of our home versus the stress and emotion of having to take our girl to the vet to say good-bye. A special thanks to Layla who responded very quickly to our request, and was understanding and patient in confirming arrangements through my waterfall of tears."Jeff ByersGreenwood, IndianaOctober 28, 2016

She was in alot of pain the last two days and lap of love was able to come out the day we decided it was time. I had to take our previous lab to a vet's office and this experience was so much better for Sandy. She was able to be at home and I had much more time to say goodbye to her."Mark LongGreenwood, IndianaSeptember 26, 2016

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Daniel Genatiempo, DVM"Dr. Dan was the exact right person for this difficult time in our Family. He never made us feel rushed. His presence put Dexter at ease. Dr. Dan answered my questions, even the ones I repeated over and over, with medical knowledge and personal experience. He took care to include the entire Family. He interacted with Sasha Bella and Giagee until they became contented with his presence. I felt Dexter slip away peacefully and held him for the longest time. Then only when the girls and I were ready, did Dr. Dan take him away."Cindy Loc HornungIndianapolis, IndianaJuly 28, 2016Dexter's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Daniel Genatiempo, DVM"Dr. Dan was so wonderful during this difficult process. He was patient and compassionate. He was so empathetic and did not rush me at any point. He made sure to explain every step along the way even though he knew that I have experienced the euthanasia of previous fur babies. He was kind and gentle with my Sasha girl and took extra care to make sure she was comfortable. He took the time to ask about her history; her story. He answered my questions and ensured me that Sasha was not in any pain. He provided me with her paw print, a clipping of her fur, some informational material for how to help my other fur babies cope with grief and he has followed up via email, shared a memorial of Sasha girl himself and sent a card in the mail. Working with Lap of Love and Dr. Dan, although not a service I wish I would have ever needed, it has been a wonderful experience due to their commitment and compassion. Thank you to the staff at Lap of Love who helped me over the phone and special thank you to Dr. Dan for helping me and for taking such good care of my Sasha girl in the final moments of her life."Autumn SprecherIndianapolis, IndianaJuly 25, 2016Sasha's Pet Memorial

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Daniel Genatiempo, DVM"Our sweetie dog, Bub, and all of our family are so thankful to Dr. Dan and his kind and caring staff. Bub's poor little body had just given out and we had to help him so he wouldn't suffer anymore. We had had our Shih Tzu since he was weaned, and spent 14 wonderful years together. The morning we called Lap of Love, the person assisting us was so kind and told us Dr. Dan would help us any time that day. When Dr. Dan arrived, our family was gathered on the floor with Bub, and he got right down on the floor with us and talked us through everything. He helped Bub fall asleep, and stayed with us for a long while afterward. We were so comforted in the fact that we didn't have to take Bub to the vet; we could all stay together at home and Bub wasn't scared about riding in the car and going to a strange cold office with people he didn't know. I don't believe Bub was in any pain from the procedure. If only I could have that option! We miss Bub everyday, but we know we did the best for him.

Thanks so much Dr. Dan! We love you and you are part of our family too!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Daniel Genatiempo, DVM"Dr. Dan was wonderful. He has a kind, gentle nature, and was very compassionate with our Howie. He explained the procedure step by step and explained what to expect along the way. We are so thankful he provides this service, as it made such a difficult time a bit easier by having the procedure done at home."Michelle BakerNoblesville, IndianaJuly 20, 2016Howie's Pet Memorial
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Daniel Genatiempo, DVM"Our 14 year old Boston Terrier was diagnosed with bone cancer three months ago. She had severe anxiety any time we took her to the veterinarian she would be in great distress. When her pain was too great to manage we knew it would be a kindness for it to end but we did not want her last moments to be spent anxious due to being at the vet.

We were very lucky to be directed to Dr. Dan and we were able to surround our sweet little girl and hold her paw as her pain ended. I miss her. Dearly. It was such a blessing to have this service and to have Dr. Dan explain kindly and gently what to expect. He provided her a basket and let my husband carry her one last time to his car.

If you need to make this heartbreaking decision it helps to know that you will be treated with dignity and kindness. And you will with Dr. Dan and Lap of Love."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Daniel Genatiempo, DVM"When I was 23 years old I went to a pet store in Indianapolis to buy a grooming brush for one of our dogs. When I got there I could not help but notice the cutest little German Shepard puppy for sale in a crate. She looked so sad but full of hope at the same time. I asked if I could see her, just thinking I would give her a little time out of the crate to play. Instead I ended up taking her home with me. At the time I had just graduated from college and was living with my parents. They were infuriated when I got home with her as I was always bringing new pets home and we already had several cats and dogs on our farm. My Dad didnt talk to me for a week he was so angry. I named her Laila as I had heard the Eric Clapton song on my way to the pet store the day I got her. Soon everyone grew to love her as she was the sweetest puppy. I purchased a house in Indianapolis later that year and by that time my dad was so attached to her he insisted she stay with my parents. She quickly became his dog and he was her person. She loved being by his side and exploring the farm with him on walks to the woods and swims in the creek. In September 2011 my dad passed away from pancreatic cancer. Saying goodbye to Laila was like losing a part of him. This March Laila turned 13. Up until a few of months ago she still acted like a puppy most of the time. Then she started losing weight, eating only every other day, and then her back legs just went out one day and she was unable to get up. We made the difficult decision to say goodbye to her and not allow her to live in that state. After calling several vets (on a Sunday) we were discouraged as we did not want to further traumatize her by having to put her in a vehicle (which made her vey anxious) to see a vet. Luckily I found Lap of Love which searching the Internet for an alternative. Dr. Dan arrived and sat with us until we were ready. He was great and would have sat with us for hours without one word if we had needed that time. My family and I are very sad to have lost Laila, but grateful we found Dr. Dan and Lap of Love to help us say goodbye."Dae SmileyNorth Salem, IndianaJuly 11, 2016
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Daniel Genatiempo, DVM"I wish I was more gifted at using flowery and descriptive words, but all I can say is that this is the kindest vet that my husband and I ever met. Dr. Dan stayed with us through the whole awful process of sending our little Dusty to Heaven. He told us what he was doing every step of the way and exhibited genuine concern that we knew that he was not rushing us. It was easy to see that he truly cared about our pet and our feelings. A truly professional, loving person that you really want around when you have to face that final goodbye with your pet. We highly recommend Dr. Dan, and when we again face that inevitable situation we will have him back again. He is more than just a wonderful person, he is our friend and we will always remember his kindness. God bless you, Dr. Dan."Carlone GeigerMooresville, IndianaJuly 10, 2016
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Daniel Genatiempo, DVM"Our smart, sweet border collie Shadow had a terrible cancer. Our pets depend on us for everything; we knew she depended on us to do the right thing and not let her suffer too long. Yet the decision as to "when" was so painful and so difficult. We didn't want to end her life too soon; but we didn't want her to suffer needlessly if it was time.

Our family so appreciated Dr. Dan. He was very kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, professional. His kindness and knowledge made a very difficult and painful decision and time enormously easier - both for us, and also, I believe, for Shadow. It would have been a much more difficult situation if we did not have his service."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Daniel Genatiempo, DVM"Having to put a pet down is very hard to do. I have had the unfortunate task, of having to do this several times over my years. Losing a pet, is in many ways, like losing a family member, because, they are family. I was truly blessed to have Lap Of Love, and Doctor Dan assist my wife and I when we just had to put our Beagle down. Words cannot express, how much better it was, not only for my wife and I, but also for Baily ( our Beagle ), to have this wonderful man come to my home, and Baily's home as well to help us, at this very sad and difficult time. The care....the professionalism....the understanding and the kindness....words cannot express, how grateful I am. I would very strongly recommend, anyone having to put a pet down, to please, let Lap Of Love assist you in doing what is a very hard, painful and trying experience. It is so much better for the pet as well. And, really, that is all that should matter. Nothing can take the pain and hurt away after losing a beloved pet. My Baily passed away, where he laid down to sleep at night....He was home....We were home....So much better, much more peaceful, alot less stressful on everyone. Once again....I would strongly recommend Lap Of Love, if anyone has to say goodbye to a beloved pet....And, once again....Thank You Doctor Dan....God's Speed to you."Ken SmithIndianapolis, IndianaJuly 1, 2016
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Daniel Genatiempo, DVM"My family and I want to sincerely thank Dr. Daniel Genatiempo for your unbelievable kindness and care towards our Pretty Girl, Abbey. You don't know how much relief we felt knowing he was able to pass away quietly and painlessly, at home with her people and all that's familiar. She spent 14 beautiful years of her 15-year-old life with us as a central part of the family, and I couldn't bear the thought of her last minutes being frightened in a place that she didn't like. You not only eased Abbey off to sleep in a calm and beautiful manner, but you have eased our minds about her last moments on earth.

Bless you for all that you do to help our beloved furbabies have a peaceful passing."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Daniel Genatiempo, DVM"Chloe was ill and stressed, Dr. Dan came to my home, while I held her, patiently explained what he would do, what would happen and waited until I was ready. He was kind, professional and eliminated any doubts I had. I am so thankful for his service and that home visit is an option."Joyce PflumIndianapolis, IndianaJune 23, 2016
Lap of Love Veterinarian: Daniel Genatiempo, DVM"I first saw Mike in a cage at the Humane Society. He was no longer a playful kitten, but had the presence of a gentleman who had seen something of the streets. Our eyes met. He was mine. Mike never lost his sociability, his charm, his gentlemanly ways, and so when he failed, he deserved only the most dignified exit. That was
made possible by Dr. Dan ( who had served him so well as his vet for years.)
There are no words to describe the grace that Dr. Dan provided for Mike and for Mike's mom - me.
I am forever grateful to " our " Dr. Dan.
