Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kara Fuchs, DVM"Dr. Kara's compassionate and caring approached helped us through a difficult time with the passing of our Baileydog. Kara talked us through the process of letting Baileydog go and helped us understand what he was going through, and why this was, while not the easy, was the most compassionate thing we could do for our beloved family member. We had all the time that we needed to say goodbye and grieve before Baileydog was taken for cremation.

Baileydog is back with us now and his ashes will be spread at his favorite locations in the spring."

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kara Fuchs, DVM"Kara is amazing. This was a very difficult time for our family. But, Kara immediately gained our dog's trust, kept her calm and was able to assess her condition. Kara was very comforting. She provided us the assurance, based on our dog's condition, that we were doing the right thing at the right time. Kara was able to keep the entire process peaceful and pain free.

We were very impressed by Kara's professionalism and demeanor. We highly recommend this service and Kara in particular."

It was a pleasure to meet you..Kara you are so important to everyone you meet. You are
the perfect person for this job. You are so kind, soft spoken, and good at what you do.
I do want you to know that Max has never let anyone outside the family pet him as much as you did. He just knew you

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kara Fuchs, DVM"Kara, you are just an amazing person. To do what you do really takes lots of compassion and you most certainly have a lot. Murphy was so calm and he almost seemed to know that he wanted go and that it was time. I felt like you were feeling most of our pain as well, which really humbles me. You were very gentle with him and respectful of our wishes. Thank you for your kindness, gentleness, your compassion and your friendly words and the hugs.

Thank you for all that you do each day to help people like us get through this difficult time.

We know it will take time to heal. We will never forget you!

The Jann Family"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kara Fuchs, DVM"On Saturday, January 8th our family had to make one of the hardest decisions we have had to make, that was to say goodbye to our sweet Boy Baxter. Baxter Joined our family almost 12 years ago at the age of 3 months old. He was a cute little chubby pup who pick our oldest son who was 11 at the time. Baxter was just one of my boys. My youngest son was one year younger than Baxter and is described by him as his "best pal". The two of them were inseparable and they loved each other so we spent the weekend as a family loving our boy who was now incontinent of his bladder, unable to walk up stairs and barely able to walk often loosing strength and falling over, eating was hard and food would fall out of his mouth. He looked at us with sad blood shot eyes that appeared to say help me. Within 15 minutes of contacting the lap of love some one called us and was so very kind, I was so upset I could not speak. Dr. Kara arrived right on time the next day, from the moment she came into our home she appeared to know Baxter, appeared so interested in knowing about him and when she met the family including 3 kids ages 22, 20 and 10, she said "hi everyone, I'm Dr. Kara and I'm hear to help Baxter. We took all the time we needed, we told silly Baxter stories and when we were ready we fed Baxter his favorite food, salami, as he slipped into a deep sleep, exactly as described by Dr. Kara as we pet, hugged and was told Baxter how much he is loved, that he is not alone and that he is the best hound dog anyone could be lucky enough to have in their lives. Dr. Kara helped us to know how to help our two cats who were also present, one of which was his best friend and was visibly upset. Dr. Kara made a a terrible, very sad day into a positive experience for all of us, including our 10 year old son who just lost his best friend. We cannot thank you enough Dr. Kara, you are an angel. I will tell everyone I know about this wonderful organization Lap of Love. Our sweet boy was able to sleep away, while eating salami, in his own bed, in his favorite place, in the home surrounded by his whole family.
Thank you from our entire family and I am sure Baxter thanks you to!"

Lap of Love Veterinarian: Kara Fuchs, DVM"We had our Daisy (Basset hound) for 3 years and 4 months and loved every minute with her. We got her as a rescue from an animal shelter. She was our baby. Christmas 2016 we had say goodbye to her unexpectedly. I can't tell you the guilt we felt making the decision that we had to make. Never heard of someone making house calls until I found Lap of Love on google. From the minute I called lap of love they made me feel more at ease for the decision I had to make.
Up until the time Dr. Kara called I was wondering if we were doing the right thing. She came out on time for the appointment, and from the time she arrived we felt better about our s decision. Dr. Kara was so caring and was not in any kind of hurry. The process was sooooo much easier on Daisy. She did not like going to the vet and would get scared. Daisy just laid on my wife's lap (eating doggie treats getting petted and pampered) When Dr Kara asked us if we were ready and started the process. she told us what was going to happen and Daisy left this world being loved. It was so much easier not only on Daisy but us also. Dr. Kara took the best care of our little girl when they left to be creamated. After Daisy was creamated Dr. Kara even personally delivered Daisy back to us. I Would recommend Lap of Love and especially Dr. Kara to anyone having to make this decision, she could not have been more loving and compassionate to or little girl, Daisy. Thank you Dr. Kara."
